Deputy of Love
Deputy of Love is a 1979 disco single by Don Armando.
==Background==
The words and music were composed by Ronald Bruce Rogers, known for short as Ron Rogers.〔() Original Deputy Of Love Label〕 A native New Yorker born in the South Bronx, he also played piano on the Ze Records recording. Rogers went on to write and produce a string of dance records,〔() Ron Rogers Discography〕 including "Lifeboat Party"〔()〕 and "Gina Gina"〔()〕 for Kid Creole and the Coconuts. The song went to number one on the disco chart, becoming the last single to hit the top spot during the 1970s. It did not make it on to either the pop or soul charts. The vocalist on "Deputy of Love", Fonda Rae, went on to success on the dance and soul charts during the 1980s.
